Biography
Iris Liriano is a Judicial Assistant with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit to the Hon. Patty Shwartz. Prior to joining the Circuit, Iris was as a Judicial Assistant in the U.S. District Court – New Jersey. In April 2003, she joined the District Court and worked there for 10 years for Magistrate Judge Shwartz. Before joining the District Court, Iris was a Legal Secretary at the United States Attorney's Office – District of New Jersey for approximately 9 years. During her tenure there, she held the positions of Legal Secretary for 2 years, Deputy Chief Secretary for less than a year and a Supervisory Legal Secretary for 6 years. Before joining the U.S. Attorney's Office, Iris was a clerk-typist for the Drug Enforcement Administration for approximately 4 years and later promoted to a Group Secretary. Iris and her husband, Cristian, have two children, Noel and Brian and a granddaughter, Valentina. She enjoys reading, traveling, dancing, fitness classes, boating, listening to podcasts, audiobooks, and music.
